Celebrations of Brass
Durham Photographic Society
members were involved in a major project to document in still
photography BRASS: Durham International Festival 2007 and the
Durham Miners’ Gala.
Most of the events were covered
– in the theatres and all the major outdoor events such as Streets
of Brass, DBBCA Band Contest and Durham Miners’ Gala. The pictures
on display aim to show the excitement and enjoyment, and be a
celebration, of both international and traditional County Durham
brass.
The Society is grateful for
funding support for this project from Awards for All and Durham
County Council Arts Development.
